Skylar
OWNER / LEAD TRAINER
Skylar is a highly skilled and dedicated dog trainer and the founder of Skye’s The Limit Dog Training. Her passion for dogs was cultivated from a young age, and she has spent her life working to understand and improve the bond between dogs and their people.
Skylar pursued her love for animals by studying Animal Science in college, where she gained a deep understanding of animal behavior, physiology, and training principles. During this time, she also worked at a veterinary hospital for three years, gaining invaluable hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and needs. Her journey in professional training was further elevated when she attended the renowned Michael Ellis School of Dog Training, where she refined her skills and expanded her knowledge under some of the industry’s top experts.
Skylar’s passion for behavior modification began with her now 7-year-old Weimaraner, who challenged her in ways she couldn’t have anticipated. After going through countless trainers and programs in search of solutions, she finally discovered a system that not only transformed her dog’s behavior but also changed her life. This breakthrough inspired Skylar to help other families navigate similar struggles, and it’s the foundation of her mission to create lasting harmony between dogs and their owners.
Throughout her career, Skylar has sought mentorship from some of the world’s leading dog trainers, embracing a philosophy of lifelong learning. She continuously hones her expertise, combining science-based methods with practical, real-world applications to help dogs and their families achieve lasting success.
In 2020, Skylar founded Skye’s the Limit Dog Training with a vision to help families and their dogs live harmoniously. Known for her compassionate and balanced approach, she tailors her methods to meet the unique needs of every dog and family she works with. Her commitment to education, transparency, and results has made her a highly sought-after trainer, trusted by the families she works with to create transformational changes that benefit both ends of the leash.
